Ingredients

  • 2 hearts of romaine lettuce chopped
  • 1/2 cup julienne Jicama
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped fresh ginger
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/8 cup chopped fresh mint
  • 1/8 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/8 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 2 Tablespoons chopped fresh chives
  • 2 Fresh Tuna Steaks
  • 2 Tablespoons Sesame seeds
  • 2 Tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1.5 Tablespoons sesame seed oil
  • 4 Tablespoons store bought Thai peanut sauce
  • salt to taste

Method

  • Toss first 8 ingredients in a large bowl and set aside in refrigerator. Coat tuna with soy sauce and sesame seeds. Heat sesame seed oil in saute pan. Cook Tuna on each side for 15-30 seconds. Slice Tuna into 1 inch Strips. Divide salad onto 4 plates top with tuna and drizzle with peanut sauce. Salt to taste (salt may not be needed at all)
