Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. peas, string beans or possibly any vegetable
  • Beef chunks or possibly grnd beef
  • 15 ounce. tomato sauce
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Salt, pepper and allspice
  • 4 c. rice
  • Butter or possibly oil
  • 1 c. very thin vermicelli (soup noodles)

Method

  • Brown meat with onion and garlic.
  • Add in tomato sauce and 1 can of water.
  • If using beef chunks, add in 1 c. of water till meat is tender.
  • Then add in vegetables of your choice and simmer till sauce thickens.
  • Serve over rice.
  • RICE: Saute/fry vermicelli in butter or possibly oil till golden.
  • Add in rice and stir well, then add in 5 c. of water on high fire till it boils.
  • Then turn down to simmer for about 20 min.
