Ingredients
- 8 tbsp (1 stick) butter, chopped
- 3/4 cup milk
- 3 None eggs
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
- None None Powdered sugar, to dust
Method
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a deep 8-square cake pan; line bottom with parchment paper.
- Combine butter and milk in small saucepan. Stir on medium heat until butter is melted. Remove from heat; cool to room temperature.
- Beat eggs and vanilla in medium bowl with electric mixer until thick and creamy. Gradually add sugar, beating until dissolved between each addition.
- Stir in sifted flour and butter mixture, in 2 batches. Pour into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 45 mins until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool in pan 5 mins. Remove from pan; cool completely on wire rack. Dust cooled cake with sifted powdered sugar.
