Ingredients

  • 1 (14.5-ounce) can shredded sauerkraut, drained
  • 1 tablespoon caraway seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 6 (4-ounce) lean, boned center-cut loin pork chops (1 inch thick)
  • 4 cups thinly sliced Granny Smith apple (2 medium)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Arrange sauerkraut evenly in a 13- x 9-inch baking dish; sprinkle with caraway seeds and cloves. Place pork chops on sauerkraut; arrange apple slices on pork, and sprinkle with cinnamon. Cover and bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until pork is tender.
