Ingredients

  • 1 German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
  • 1 pkg. Kraft or Brach caramels
  • 1 c. pecans
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1/4 c. evaporated milk

Method

  • Mix cake according to directions.
  • Pour half into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
  • Bake 15 minutes at 350°.
  • While this is baking, melt caramels, margarine and milk, stirring constantly. Pour over baked portion.
  • Sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans over this, then pour remaining cake batter over.
  • Bake 20 minutes at 350°.
  • Moist; no icing needed!
