- 6 large green peppers
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. finely chopped onion
- 2 c. cornflakes
- 1/8 tsp. minced garlic
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 2 medium peeled and chopped tomatoes
- 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Method
- Remove seeds from peppers.
- Cook peppers; cut in half, about 5 minutes.
- Cool and drain.
- Brown beef and onion in frypan.
- Drain fat.
- Remove from heat; stir in cereal, garlic, chili powder, salt, pepper and tomato sauce and tomatoes.
- Stuff peppers.
- Bake in oven at 350° for 25 minutes.
- Remove and top with cheese and return to oven for 3 minutes.
