Ingredients

  • 6 large green peppers
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. finely chopped onion
  • 2 c. cornflakes
  • 1/8 tsp. minced garlic
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 2 medium peeled and chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese

Method

  • Remove seeds from peppers.
  • Cook peppers; cut in half, about 5 minutes.
  • Cool and drain.
  • Brown beef and onion in frypan.
  • Drain fat.
  • Remove from heat; stir in cereal, garlic, chili powder, salt, pepper and tomato sauce and tomatoes.
  • Stuff peppers.
  • Bake in oven at 350° for 25 minutes.
  • Remove and top with cheese and return to oven for 3 minutes.
