Ingredients

  • 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
  • 1 pt. half and half
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 prepared pound cakes (12 oz. each)
  • 1 (8 oz.) container frozen whipped topping

Method

  • Cut cakes into 6 slices each.
  • Combine milks and salt in a large bowl and stir well; set aside.
  • Lay cake slices in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  • Pour milk mixture evenly over cake slices; cover and refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours.
  • Remove from refrigerator and spread thawed whipped topping over cake.
  • Chill for additional 1 to 2 hours.
  • Garnish with fresh fruit or your favorite pie filling.
  • Serves 12 to 15.
