Ingredients

  • 4 oz. cream cheese
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. pumpkin puree
  • 1 3/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Method

  • Cream together the cream cheese, margarine and sugar.
  • Beat in eggs, one at a time, until well blended.
  • Mix in pumpkin.
  • In another bowl, combine all 7 ingredients.
  • Stir until well mixed. Pour, all at once, over batter.
  • Stir just enough to moisten. Pour into a greased loaf pan.
  • Bake at 350° for 60 to 70 minutes, or until done.
  • Cool 10 minutes in pan.
  • Remove to rack to finish cooling.
