Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up and undrained
  • 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
  • 1 (6 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
  • 1 minced onion
  • 1 bell pepper, seeded and chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • pepper to taste

Method

  • Break up uncooked beef and put in crock-pot.
  • Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste and then the remaining ingredients.
  • Add 1/3 cup water.
  • Cover and cook on high for 5 to 6 hours.
  • Thicken with solution of 2 tablespoons cornstarch dissolved in 2 tablespoons cold water.
  • Stir in solution, cover and cook until sauce is thickened.
  • Serve over hot, cooked spaghetti.
