Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 8 oz. crescent rolls
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
  • 2 Tbsp. corn meal
  • 4 oz. Cheddar cheese
  • shredded lettuce

Method

  • Heat oven to 375°.
  • In large skillet, brown meat, onion and pepper; drain.
  • Stir in tomato sauce and taco mix.
  • Set aside. Separate dough and place triangles in ungreased 10-inch pie pan or 9-inch square pan.
  • Press over bottom and up sides to form crust. Sprinkle corn meal over crust.
  • Bake at 375° for 5 minutes (crust will be puffy when removed from oven).
  • Spoon meat mixture over corn meal.
  • Spread sour cream over meat and top with cheese.
  • Bake at 375° for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Top with lettuce and tomatoes.
