Ingredients
- chunk style cucumbers
- 1 c. vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. alum
- 1 Tbsp. pickling salt
- 1 Tbsp. mixed spices
- 2 c. sugar
Method
- Pack jar with cucumbers.
- Heat vinegar, alum, pickling salt and mixed spices.
- Heat and pour over pickles.
- Finish filling jar with hot water; seal.
- Two weeks before using, pour off liquid. To it, add sugar and heat.
- Pour over pickles.
- Cool and eat.
