Ingredients
- 1 qt. grape juice
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 4 medium apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 4 c. water
- 1/4 c. quick tapioca or rice
- 1 slice lemon
- 1 lb. dried fruit (peaches, apricots or prunes)
Method
- Combine ingredients in a large kettle and bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring often, until fruit is done.
- Add more water, if necessary.
- Makes 6 servings.
