Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. White Cake Mix (Do not follow cake directions on box.)
  • 1 pkg. Strawberry jello
  • 3 T. flour
  • 3/4 C. salad oil
  • 1/2 C. water
  • 4 eggs
  • 2/3 box (10 oz. or more) frozen strawberries thawed and drained (Reserve remaining 1/3 of berries and some liquid for icing.)

Method

  • Mix together cake mix, jello, and flour. Add water and oil. Add eggs one at a time and beat. Add berries next and mix. Bake in 9 x 13 pan at 350 degrees for 30 min. Take a toothpick test.
  • For frosting:
  • Using reserved juice from berries, butter or margarine, and powdered sugar. Beat until combined.
  • You may just use whipping cream with a little powdered sugar to taste.
