Ingredients

  • 1 Pkg. Dry Yeast
  • 1/8 cup Warm Water
  • 1 cup Scalded Milk
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. Shortening
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2-3 cups Flour
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. Cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown Sugar
  • 1/8 cup Margarine
  • 1 Tbsp. Corn Syrup
  • 1/8 Cup Water

Method

  • 1. Soak yeast in warm water. Meanwhile, scald milk and add sugar,
  • salt and shortening. Cool mixture until lukewarm. Add yeast and eggs to
  • the milk mixture
  • 2. Add 2 cups flour. Add more flour to make a soft dough. Knead
  • mixture until smooth and elastic. Let rise 45 minutes.
  • 3. Roll out dough into rectangular shape. Spread melted butter, brown
  • sugar and cinnamon over the dough. Roll up dough and cut into 3/4 - 1 inch
  • pieces.
  • 4. Mix all topping ingredients and heat until sugar is well dissolved.
  • Pour topping into two greased 8" cake pans. Place sticky buns onto the
  • topping and let rise for one hour.
  • 5. Bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
  • Excellent sliced in half and grilled for breakfast.
