Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 lb. round steak, cut in serving pieces
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 c. milk

Method

  • Pound flour into steak.
  • Brown in hot shortening.
  • Place in a large casserole.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Layer sliced onions over meat.
  • Mix soups and milk.
  • Pour over meat and onion layers.
  • Cover with foil.
  • Bake at 350° for at least 1 hour (until hot and bubbly).
