Ingredients
- 4 Tbsp. flour
- 2 lb. round steak, cut in serving pieces
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 c. milk
Method
- Pound flour into steak.
- Brown in hot shortening.
- Place in a large casserole.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Layer sliced onions over meat.
- Mix soups and milk.
- Pour over meat and onion layers.
- Cover with foil.
- Bake at 350° for at least 1 hour (until hot and bubbly).
