Ingredients
- 1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1 c. Hellmann's mayonnaise
- 1 box Knorr dry vegetable soup mix
- 1/4 c. finely chopped onion
- 1 small can water chestnuts, finely chopped (optoinal)
- 1 large round loaf Hawaiian bread or sourdough bread
Method
- Place spinach, soup mix, onion and water chestnuts in food processor bowl fitted with metal blade, cover.
- Process until spinach is finely chopped.
- Remove mixture from food processor and place in a medium bowl.
- Stir in mayonnaise and sour cream.
- Cover and chill overnight.
- To serve, cut off top of bread.
- Remove bite size pieces of bread from inside of loaf, leaving about a 1/2-inch shell.
- Tear top into bite size pieces.
- Fill bread shell with spinach mixture.
- Place on a round serving plate and surround with bite size bread pieces for dipping.
