Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 Oz. Size) Garbanzo Beans, Drained, Rinsed And Dried
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Garam Masala (homemade Or Store Bought)
  • 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • Chopped Curry Leaves, For Garnish (optional)

Method

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  • Drain and rinse beans.
  • Place between a few sheets of paper towel and gently roll hands back and forth to help dry them.
  • Some of the skin will come off, but thats okay.
  • Transfer dried beans to a bowl.
  • Add olive oil, garam masala, brown sugar and stir well to combine.
  • Place beans on a rimmed baking sheet and spread into even layer.
  • Bake for 30 minutes, tossing after 20 minutes.
  • Chickpeas are done when they are toasted and slightly crispy.
  • Garnish with chopped curry leaves if desired.
