Ingredients

  • 6 oz. spaghetti
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. onion
  • 1/4 c. green pepper
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 c. cottage cheese
  • 1/2 c. grated Swiss, Mozzarella or Cheddar cheese

Method

  • Cook spaghetti and mix with eggs, margarine and Parmesan cheese.
  • Shape into crust in buttered pan.
  • Cook ground beef and onion.
  • Add tomato, garlic and sugar.
  • Cook 20 minutes.
  • Spread cottage cheese over spaghetti, then top with meat and grated cheese.
  • Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
  • Makes 9 x 9-inch pan.
