Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef or 1 lb. bulk sausage (beef, milder; sausage, spicier)
  • 6 oz. spaghetti
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1/3 c. Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1 (7 1/2 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 c. cottage cheese, drained
  • 1/2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese

Method

  • Cook spaghetti according to directions on package.
  • Drain (approximately 3 1/2 cups).
  • Stir in margarine.
  • Add eggs and Parmesan cheese.
  • Press spaghetti mixture in buttered 10-inch pie plate, forming crust.
