Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter or margarine, softened
- 3 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 3 c. flour (plain)
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/2 pt. sour cream
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. lemon
Method
- Cream sugar and butter or margarine.
- Add eggs one at a time. Sift flour, salt and soda together.
- Put 1/2 cup flour in at a time, alternating with sour cream.
- Add vanilla and lemon.
- Grease and flour bottom and sides of a 12-inch tube pan.
- Put wax paper on bottom of pan.
- Bake at 300° for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours.
