Ingredients

  • 1 large loaf sliced white sandwich bread
  • butter
  • 1 large onion, minced
  • 4 hard-cooked eggs, chopped
  • 1 can crab (6 to 7 1/2 oz.)
  • 2 small cans shrimp, drained
  • 1 c. celery, finely cut
  • 3 c. mayonnaise (not salad dressing)
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Method

  • Cut crust from bread and spread lightly with butter.
  • Cut into small cubes so each slice is at least 20 cubes.
  • Frozen bread cuts best.
  • Add onions and eggs.
  • Mix, cover and refrigerate overnight.
