Ingredients
- 2 c. self-rising flour
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1/4 c. buttermilk
Method
- Cut shortening into flour.
- Add buttermilk.
- Stir.
- Knead lightly.
- Roll out on floured board.
- Spread 1/2 pound bulk sausage on bread.
- Roll as for a jelly roll.
- Wrap in wax paper and place in freezer.
- When ready to cook, slice while they are partially frozen; place on cookie sheet and cook at 350° until lightly browned.
