Ingredients

  • 500 grams potatoes boiled
  • 80 grams butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour, all-purpose
  • 1/2 litres water
  • 1 each bay leaves
  • 1 piece lemon zest
  • 1 each cloves, ground
  • 1 each onions
  • 1 x salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 dash caraway seeds

Method

  • Melt the fat and add the finely chopped onion and flour.
  • Saute until the onion is golden brown.
  • Add the water and all the other seasonings.
  • Cook for 1/2 hour.
  • Strain the sauce and pour it over the hot, sliced potatoes.
