Ingredients

  • 1 Lb Italian Sausage
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbs olive oil
  • 2 cans tomatoes diced
  • 1 can tomato puree
  • 2 cans tomato paste
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp basil chopped
  • 1 tsp fennel
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 1 tsp parsley

Method

  • Brown sausage in olive oil, add garlic anc saute. (15 mintues) set aside.
  • add tomatoes and cook for 15 minutes.
  • Add sugar and baking powder.
  • Add meatballs, seasonings and partially cooked sausage and simmer for 3 hours.
