Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 to 2 lbs. round steak, cut 1/2 to 1 inch thick
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 3 tbsp. fat
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/2 c. water

Method

  • Can use 1/4 tsp.
  • celery salt, 1/8 tsp.
  • garlic salt and 1/8 tsp.
  • onion salt.
  • Can also use 1/4 c. water and 1 can undrained mushrooms in place of 1/2 c. water.
  • Dredge meat with flour; brown in warm fat over medium heat.
  • Sprinkle with seasonings.
  • Add in water and/or possibly mushrooms; cover and simmer 1 1/2 hrs.
