Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz. (half of 3 oz. pkg.) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can shrimp, drained (4 1/2 oz. drained weight), chopped fine
  • 1 to 2 tsp. lemon juice
  • dash of garlic or onion salt
  • dash of red hot sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. mayonnaise

Method

  • Mix ingredients using enough mayonnaise to give good spreading consistency.
  • Cut crust from day old thin bread spread with shrimp mixture.
  • Roll tightly in a slightly dampened towel. Chill. Slice into approximately 1/4-inch slices.
  • Yellow and/or red food coloring may be used to accentuate colors in these sandwiches.
