Ingredients
- 1 c. regular white rice
- 2 c. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 c. milk
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Combine rice, water and salt in a 3-quart kettle.
- Bring to a boil, cover and simmer on low heat for 14 minutes.
- Add milk, sugar and butter.
- Boil on medium heat for 20 minutes until thickened, stirring often.
- Remove from heat and add vanilla. Pour into serving dish and sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Delicious warm or cold.
- Yield: 8 to 10 servings.
