Ingredients
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. oil
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. sour milk
- 1 1/2 c. chopped rhubarb
- 1/2 c. walnuts (optional)
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Method
- Beat brown sugar, oil, egg, vanilla and sour milk.
- Add rhubarb and nuts.
- Mix in flour, soda, baking powder and salt. Stir until moistened.
- Sprinkle with topping made of 2 teaspoons melted oleo, 2/3 cup of white sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Bake at 375° for 20 to 25 minutes.
- Makes about 18.
