Ingredients
- 1 (15 oz.) can sour cherries
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 lb. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 c. milk
Method
- Pour cherries into a bowl.
- Add 1/2 cup sugar and let stand. Melt butter in casserole dish.
- Mix 1 cup sugar, flour, baking powder and milk.
- Pour this batter over the butter in casserole. Add cherries.
- Do not mix or stir.
- The batter will rise to the top during baking.
- Bake at 325° for 1 hour.
