Ingredients
- 1/4 c. sugar, divided use
- 2 pt. fresh strawberries, stemmed and halved
- 4 oz. softened cream cheese
- 2 c. whipping cream
- 1 store bought pound cake
Method
- Fold 1/2 cup sugar into sliced strawberries.
- Set aside. Beat remaining sugar into cream cheese.
- Whip cream.
- Fold into cream cheese mixture.
- Cut cake into slices about 1/3-inch thick. Arrange a layer of slices in a bowl.
- Put a layer of berries and a layer of cream.
- Continue layering, ending with cream.
- Makes 6 to 8 servings.
