Ingredients

  • 8 Tbsp. soft butter
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 c. cooked pumpkin
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. cloves
  • 1 tsp. salt

Method

  • Blend butter and sugar together.
  • Add eggs, then add raisins, nuts, water and pumpkin.
  • Blend well.
  • Sift dry ingredients and add, beating well.
  • Pour into two large bread pans (greased). Bake at 350° for 50 to 60 minutes.
  • Use toothpick to check for doneness.
  • Delicious with cream cheese frosting.
