Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. finely chopped pecans
- 1 lb. pkg. brown sugar
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 2 sticks margarine
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 4 eggs
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Grease and flour 10-inch tube pan. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of the chopped pecans over the bottom of pan; set aside.
- Combine sugars, butter and shortening; cream until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each.
- Sift dry ingredients.
- Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Add vanilla, then fold in remaining 1 cup pecans.
