Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1 c. chopped celery
  • 1 c. chopped onions
  • 4 medium-sized potatoes
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 2 slices bread, torn in small pieces

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • In skillet, saute the celery and onions in margarine.
  • Pare and boil potatoes in salted water.
  • When done, mash using just a little milk.
  • Mix into potatoes the rest of the ingredients.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Put into greased baking dish.
  • Bake for one hour.
  • Cover for first half hour, uncover for remaining time.
  • Serves 4 to 6.
