Ingredients
- 4 pork chops (1-inch thick)
- 2 medium apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 tsp. butter
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg (optional)
- salt and pepper
Method
- In skillet, brown pork chops quickly.
- Drain well.
- Arrange a layer of sliced apples in crock-pot, then a layer of pork chops; repeat.
- Dot with butter; sprinkle with nutmeg and salt and and pepper.
- Cover and cook on low setting for 7 to 9 hours.
- Makes 4 servings (about 2 1/2 quarts).
