Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. dates, cut up
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. Rice Krispies
- nuts (optional)
Method
- Stir together in frying pan.
- Melt shortening first.
- Stir in dates, egg mixture.
- Stir until thickens.
- Cool a little and add 3 cups Rice Krispies in bowl.
- Pour mixture over all.
- Add nuts. Grease hands.
- Roll into small balls.
- Roll in coconut.
