Ingredients

  • 3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 c sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. poppy seed
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 3/4 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 tsp. almond extract
  • 1 1/2 tsp. butter flavoring
  • Orange Glaze

Method

  • Combine first 11 ingredients in a large bowl; beat 2 minutes at medium speed of electric mixer.
  • Spoon batter into 2 greased and floured 8 x 4 x 3-inch loaf pans.
  • Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Cool loaves in pans for 10 minutes.
  • Remove from pans and cool completely on wire racks.
  • Drizzle bread with Orange Glaze.
