Ingredients
- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 1 lb. marshmallows
- 5 qt. popped corn
- 1/2 lb. roasted peanuts
- 1 lb. small gumdrops (mixed colors)
- gumdrop flowers (optional)
Method
- Combine butter and marshmallows in Dutch oven; cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until marshmallows are melted.
- Add popcorn, peanuts and gumdrops, stirring until blended.
- Press mixture into well buttered 10-inch tube pan until top is level all around.
- Chill until firm.
- Invert cake onto serving plate. Garnish with gumdrop flowers, if desired.
- Use an electric knife to slice as thin slices cannot be made easily with a knife.
