Ingredients

  • 12 eggs
  • 3 1/2 c. sugar
  • 4 sticks melted margarine
  • 6 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 bottle anise seed

Method

  • Beat eggs, then add sugar gradually.
  • Add margarine, seasonings and flour a little at a time.
  • "You can bake right away or refrigerate overnight.
  • If you put in refrigerator, seasonings will go through batter.
  • The batter will be thin like cake batter."
  • Drop on iron and bake 30 to 40 seconds, about 1/2 teaspoon.
  • Dough can be stored in refrigerator up to 2 weeks, covered.
