Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. hot water
  • 1 1/2 tsp. dry yeast

Method

  • Combine flour, salt and sugar in a medium sized bowl.
  • Mix well with a wooden spoon.
  • Stir butter in hot water in a separate bowl.
  • When water has cooled to lukewarm, add yeast and let develop 5 minutes.
  • Add yeast mixture to bowl with flour mixture. Mix until a dough forms that leaves sides of bowl.
  • It will be somewhat sticky.
  • Make a ball of the dough.
  • Let rise in oiled bowl for 45 minutes or until doubled.
  • Shape by pulling and rolling on sheet.
