Ingredients

  • 1 pound pork sausage
  • 2 (16 ounce.) pork & beans
  • 2 c. herb stuffing mix
  • 2 Large eggs, beaten
  • 1 c. minced onion
  • 2 tbsp. prepared mustard
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 1/2 tbsp. thyme
  • 1/2 c. ketchup

Method

  • In medium fry pan, cook sausage till well done.
  • Drain on paper towels.
  • Crumble.
  • In large bowl combine sausage with remaining ingredients, mix well.
  • Spoon into well greased 9 x 5 inch loaf pan.
  • Level top.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/4 hrs.
  • (For easier serving, let loaf stand 5 min at room temperature after removing from oven.)
  • Serve warm with grated cheddar cheese, tomato sauce, chili sauce or possibly mustard.
  • Serve cool also, thinly sliced on sandwich or possibly salad plate.
  • Makes 8 servings.
