Ingredients

  • 6 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. hot peppers, chopped fine
  • 1 1/4 c. white vinegar
  • 3/4 c. green bell pepper, chopped fine
  • 6 oz. Certo

Method

  • In a large pot place the first 4 ingredients.
  • Bring to a rolling boil.
  • Cook 1 to 2 minutes on very low heat.
  • Remove from heat and stir in Certo.
  • Bring pot back to heat and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Pour jelly into canning jars and seal.
  • Red or green food coloring may be added to mixture for coloring.
  • Yields about 4 (1/2-pint) jars.
