Ingredients
- 1 peck pears, peeled
- 6 bell peppers (3 red, 3 green)
- 6 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 6 large onions
- 4 c. white vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. mixed pickling spice, tied in cloth
Method
- Put pears, peppers and onions in food chopper (coarse blade). Drain.
- Add other ingredients to vinegar and boil 15 minutes.
- Add pears, peppers and onions.
- Boil about 30 minutes longer.
- Pack in hot jars and seal.
- Makes 12 pints.
