Ingredients

  • 1 c. apple juice
  • 1/2 c. catsup
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. each: cloves and ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 4 thin pork chops
  • 2 Tbsp. oil

Method

  • In small saucepan, mix well juice, catsup, sugar, salt, cloves, ginger, garlic and green onion.
  • Bring to boil; reduce heat, stirring occasionally.
  • Simmer 20 minutes.
  • Dip chops in sauce; place in shallow baking dish.
  • Cover; refrigerate at least 2 hours or overnight.
  • If time permits, bring chops to room temperature before cooking.
  • In large skillet, heat oil.
  • Add chops; cook, turning once, 8 to 10 minutes or until tender and no longer pink inside.
  • Serve with reheated leftover sauce.
  • Makes 4 servings.
