Ingredients

  • 1 double pie crust in deep dish
  • 1 qt. fruit (peaches, cherries, berries or apples)
  • 4 Tbsp. flour
  • scant 7/8 c. sugar
  • fruit and juice of 1 small lemon
  • 4 Tbsp. butter or margarine

Method

  • Mix flour and sugar well.
  • Add fruit and juice of small lemon. Put
  • all ingredients into deep dish and add top crust. Bake
  • at 400°
  • for
  • 30 minutes;
  • turn down to 350° and finish baking approximately 30 minutes longer.
  • Crust should get nice and brown and juice bubble through top crust holes.
  • (Make few cuts with knife in top crust before putting on pie.)
