Ingredients
- 4 medium thick lamb or pork chops or chicken pieces
- 1 c. raw rice
- 1 can soup (consomme or cream of chicken, mushroom or asparagus soup)
- favorite spices (such as marjoram, thyme, garlic or savory)
- 1 large onion
- 2 ripe tomatoes or canned tomatoes, drained
- 1/2 green pepper
- 2 Tbsp. olive or vegetable oil
Method
- Brown the meat in the oil.
- While browning, spray a baking dish with nonstick spray.
- Put the rice in the bottom.
- Over this, lay the sliced vegetables.
- Next, layer the meat.
- Over the meat you can place some more of the sliced vegetables.
- Mix the soup with 1 can of water and pour over the meat and vegetables.
- Cover and let it fend for itself in a 350° oven for 1 hour.
