Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. rolled oats
  • 1/3 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 12 saccharin tablets, crushed
  • 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 c. skim milk
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 Tbsp. raisins

Method

  • Measure oatmeal into mixing bowl; add oil.
  • Blend in egg and saccharin.
  • Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with combined milk and vanilla.
  • Mix in raisins.
  • Drop by level teaspoonfuls onto baking sheet.
  • Bake at 400° for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Yields 36 cookies or 12 servings.
  • Each serving (3 cookies) contains approximately 1 bread exchange.
