Ingredients
- 1 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 egg beaten
Method
- Combine flour, salt and baking powder.
- Cut in shortening until mixture is crumbly.
- Pour in milk and add egg.
- Mix only until flour is dampened.
- Don't worry about lumps.
- Drop by spoonfuls on top of boiling meat or fruit.
- Cover tightly and steam for 12 minutes without raising cover.
