Ingredients

  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (undiluted)
  • 1 can cream of celery soup (undiluted)
  • 3/4 lb. sharp cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 10 oz. can mushrooms
  • 1/2 c. slivered almonds
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. noodles
  • 2 pimientos, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. pimiento juice
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • ham slices (optional)

Method

  • Heat soups and add cheese.
  • Simmer celery, green pepper and onion in unsalted water until barely tender.
  • Drain.
  • Add all ingredients to cheese sauce.
  • Season to taste.
  • Cook noodles in unsalted water or use garlic or onion salt.
  • Drain well, using cold water.
