Ingredients
- 1/3 c. butter
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. confectioners sugar
- 1/2 c. Hershey's cocoa
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. black coffee, cooled
Method
- Cream butter thoroughly.
- Add vanilla.
- Sift together the powdered sugar, cocoa and salt.
- Add alternately with coffee to the butter mixture, beating to a spreading consistency.
- Spread on warm cake.
- Yields 1 3/4 cups icing (enough for an 8 or 9-inch) layer cake.
