Ingredients

  • 2 oz. unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1/2 c. (1 stick) margarine or butter
  • 1 Tbsp. instant coffee
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. light corn syrup
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 Tbsp. sour cream
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pastry shell
  • 1/2 c. sliced almonds

Method

  • Heat oven to 350°.
  • Place chocolates, margarine or butter and instant coffee in a large, microwave-safe bowl.
  • Cook on High (100% power) for 2 minutes, until margarine is melted.
  • Remove from oven; stir until chocolate is completely melted.
  • Stir in sugar and corn syrup.
  • Beat in eggs, sour cream and vanilla. Pour into pie shell; sprinkle with almonds.
  • Bake in a 350° oven for 45 minutes or until knife inserted 1-inch from the center comes out clean.
  • Cool on rack.
  • Makes 8 to 10 servings.
